In parts of rural Louisiana millionares are being made over night as natural gas deposits are discovered and energy companies are paying up to $30,000 an acre for rights to the land. This natural gas deposit, covering areas from Texas to Louisiana to Arkansas, might be the largest natural gas deposit in the continental United States.

Just eleven days before the Olympics opening ceremonies, the skies of Bejing were still clouded in smog. The city has shut down many factories and construction sites, as well as removed millions of cars from the road, yet it still hasn’t been enough to help clear the air. Athletes are worried about what the air pollution will do to their performances.

L.E.Ds, or light emitting diodes are set to change the way we light our homes, businesses and nation. These bulbs, already used in most traffic lights, last 50 to 100 times longer than regular bulbs and use less energy to run.

Two CNN crewmen will begin a cross country journey in which they will explore biofuels, particularily biodiesel to see what all the talk is about. They will drive from California to Georgia using biodiesel in a 1978 truck that they purchased just for this roadtrip.
