Russian and Venezuelan presidents agreed on a joint venture of oil and gas with intentions to expand with China, Iran, Cuba, Bolivia, and beyond. The process includes everything from extraction to shipping. In return for Venezuelan expertise, Russia agreed to a billion dollar loan for military weapons and coorperation on Venezuela’s nuclear program.

Bolivia announced that a Russian company and a French company signed a deal to invest billions into a natural gas project in Bolivia. Most of the investment would focus on the an area in the Southern part of the country.

The U.S. Department of Energy announced that the country’s supply of natural gas in storage rose last week, but that it is still almost 5% below what it was at this time last year.

San Antonio, Texas will be the first city in the U.S. to recycle its citizens’ human waste into usable energy. The city will sell the methane gas generated at its treatment plant to various energy companies.
