The Indian economist says this is the easiest and most substantial way to decrease carbon and methane emissions…from the processing and packaging plants…to the animal methane gas.

Six redwood trees are under scrutiny in a southern California neighborhood. The six trees and their owners were found to be in violation of the 1978 Solar Shade Act. Their neighbor, Mark Vargas, filed a complaint when his solar panels became substantially less effective as the redwoods grew. But the redwoods were planted first; the solar panels installed five years following the trees. Now state Senator Simitian works to get a law passed protecting those trees planted before the installation of neighboring solar panels.

The Old North Church in Boston – home of the ‘One if by land, two if by sea Paul Revere lanterns’ – has gone green. The church recently replaced their incandescent light bulbs with LEDs. The LEDs are expected to last twenty five times as long as the incandescent bulbs and are placed so as not to disturb the historical integrity of the church.

A California judge has ordered a couple to chop down their redwood trees which were blocking a neighbor’s solar panels from receiving sunlight. A law in California protects a homeowner’s right to sunlight. This is the first time that someone has been prosecuted under the law.
